Can I go to a different school in the same district?
The way the zoning is set up I should be going to CHS, but I'm interested in going to LHS next year. Is there a way they would let me do that? Do I need to fill out some paperwork, or is it not something that can be swayed?
Many school districts will allow students to transfer from one campus to another if space allows. Contact your district superintendent's office and ask whether they allow this and, if so, where you can get a transfer request. It should be a simple form that you fill out giving your reasons for wanting to attend the different school. Make sure you have valid reasons (easier commute, better academic record, etc.; not just because all your friends go there). Good luck!
