How long does cauliflower ear take to harden??
Ive been doing Brazilian Jui-Jitsu for a few years now, and I finally got cauliflower ear (yesterday). Right now its very sensitive. I really dont feel like going to a doctor to have the "fluids" extracted. So im just gonna live with it right now. But how long will it take for sensitivity to go away??

Do yourself a favor and get the fluid extracted. If you go before it hardens, it will take 30 painless seconds for the doctor to drain it with a syringe. If you decide to "fix" it later, the doctor will have to cut the hardened fluid out, insert rolled gauze into the incision to shape the ear, stitch it back together, and extract the gauze later (all of which is VERY painful).
