Fake wrestling, wrestling just as a gimick..?
Now im a wrestler in high school and im seeing alot of TNA, WWF types of post on yahoo answers.
Honestly i'm not a fan of that kind of stuff.. Too dramatic moves and story's.. Its fake wrestling it seems like. Honestly when i think of wrestling I think of freestyle, folkstyle etc.. Granted there are other types of combat sports.. even MMA, jijitsu, heck even the ultimate fighter looks better than WWE, and TNA,
I understand the blood is real in WWE and TNA but also in any other sport. I just think its more about being a gimick than a sport.
Does anyone else feel this way?
It absolutely is a gimmick of a sport. They took what to most people in the world and the Olympics would agree that freestyle wrestling isn't the most entertaining sport to watch. Heck I never heard of Kurt Angle in 96 but I was aware of HBK gliding to the ring for his 60 minute iron match. I love how they brought that up in their feud leading to WM. So Professional wrestling took the boring part of wrestling and made a spectacle of it with storylines, blood feuds, characters and acrobatic stunts. Vince has tried to do the same thing with Football with the XFL.
With freestyle wrestling the starting position looks like doggystyle and that just a form of wrestling I just don't agree with.
